Marjorie A. Bennett, MBA, CFA
President and Executive Director

Marjorie A. Bennett brings over 20 years of experience in finance and nonprofit leadership to Honu Mana. Currently a Partner at Chicago Partners Wealth Advisors. Marjorie earned her MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and graduated cum laude with a BS in Accounting from the University of Colorado Boulder’s Leeds School of Business. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Dedicated to social change, Marjorie spent 17 years with YWCA Kaua‘i, co-founding programs like Wiwoʻole (a bridge housing initiative), the Healthy Money Choices program, and the YWCA Kaua‘i’s Impact Fund. These contributions earned her the Na Wahine Alaka’i O Kaua‘i perpetual award in 2023. In 2019, she received the Pro Bono Service Award from the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) for her work in financial literacy for domestic violence survivors.

As a past board member and longtime member of the Rotary Club of Hanalei Bay, Marjorie initiated a number of community programs. An advocate for animal welfare, she helped establish the Kaua‘i Animal Welfare Society’s Kūpuna Kamp, a retirement home for senior dogs. Additionally, Marjorie served for three years as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in Kaua‘i, advocating for the best interests of children in the foster care system.

Nikki Ige
Vice President and Treasurer

Nikki Ige is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in community development, financial services, and strategic leadership. Currently serving as the Community Impact Director at Kauai Federal Credit Union, Nikki is responsible for shaping and executing the Credit Union’s community impact strategy while overseeing their Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) programs.

Previously, she was the Executive Director of the Grove Farm Company Foundation, where she ran one of the largest scholarship programs in the state, fostering relationships with key local leaders. Nikki’s background includes leadership roles in credit unions and consulting, with expertise in consumer and small business lending, risk management, financial analysis, and community-based program development. She is also an active volunteer, currently serving as a board member on the State of Hawaii Small Business Regulatory Review Board and the Kauai Chamber of Commerce.  She also serves as Treasurer for local non-profits – Kauai Pop Warner Football League and Hui Alu, Inc.

Nikki holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from Brigham Young University and is passionate about fitness, travel, and culinary adventures.

Dr. Chia Granda
Secretary

Dr. Chia Sonia Granda, MD, is a distinguished psychiatrist based in Hawaii, specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry, general pediatrics, and adult psychiatry. With over 20 years of experience, she has dedicated her career to the mental and emotional well-being of children and adolescents. Dr. Granda earned her medical degree from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine in 2005.  She holds triple board certifications in child and adolescent psychiatry, general pediatrics, and adult psychiatry, reflecting her comprehensive expertise in these fields.

She currently also serves on the board of the Imi Ho’ola Post Baccalaureate Program and is a YWCA Kaua’i past board member.

Beyond her professional commitments, Dr. Granda is a proud mother of two. She is an avid hiker, lover of reading, soccer enthusiast, dancer and global traveler.
